First Gulf Corp. unveils a 21-story office tower at 1401 Lawrence St. The 21-story Class AA LEED, 290,000 square foot office tower will feature ground-floor retail and 347 parking spaces.  In addition, plans call for 10 foot high ceilings with floor-to-ceiling windows, floor size of 21,000 square feet (floor plate), a fitness center, eight-floor public outdoor space with the potential for a private roof-top terrace. First Gulf Corp. bought the property in 2006 for $12.5 million and had plans to develop a $165 million, 51-story, 245 condo project; however because of the lack of pre-sale and the Great Recession, the project was canceled. First Gulf Corp. has developed more than 30 million square feet of office, industrial and retail since 1987 and is working with Back Architecture on this project. Project is scheduled to break ground first quarter of 2014.
