Colorado apartment vacancy rate has dropped statewide to 5.2% according to a report released by the Colorado Division of Housing. Fort Collins and Loveland area showed the lowest vacancy rate which stood at 2.4% in Q4 2012 and was 1% lower compared to Q4 2011. Other areas like Colorado Springs saw its vacancy rate increase to 7.1% Q4 2012 up 1% compared to Q4 2011. Pueblo also saw its vacancy rate increase from 7.3% to 10.7% and Grand Junction vacancy rate also increased from 7% to 9.7%. When vacancy rate is below 5%, it’s considered a tight market All metros saw an overall increase of 4.7% from Q4 2011 to Q4 2012. Below is a breakdown of vacancies by area.
